Do not be alarmed, LABELS isn't closing down for good. We decided, since school isn't being all that good to us, to close down the boards temporarily, until summer starts again. From now on, this site will be an exclusive summer only site(Meaning it will close down once school starts, and will open back up when summer comes). The Cbox will be on here, 24/7, so don't worry, we all will still get to talk to one another. An email will be sent to everyone once the boards are up again. Well, I guess we'll see you all next summer then! Have a great school year! :'D

Sometimes Darien didn't know what to do with himself. He wasn't always in the mood for reading. He wasn't always in the mood for mixing chemicals that probably shouldn't be mixed. He wasn't always in the mood for life. Nothing excited him anymore. Day after day he did the same thing. His grades never changed. The attitudes of other students towards him never changed. Luckily nothing life changing ever happened, but still. He wanted some excitement.

At times like this he always found himself wandering the library. Today was no exception. Darien walked up and down the rows slowly, counting each book as he passed it. This went on for about twenty minutes before something interesting caught his eye. It was a book entitled, The Atomic Bomb: A Second World War. Darien pulled it out quickly. Within seconds all the other books in the same row flopped over to the side. He dropped the current book he was holding and tried to put all the others back upright. It wasn't working.

Darien sighed and sat on the ground. "Shit," he murmured quietly. It frustrated him that his own strength was too weak to do such a task. But he tried to push it out of his mind. It wasn't helping his already melancholy mood.

Lilith was bored. Her schoolwork was done, she'd written a letter to her mom, and had read all the books she had currently checked out. She also had no social life which meant she was at the library, as usual. Really if it weren't for a few of her different eccentricities she swore the school would have given her the label 'Geek.'

She walked through the the library with her head down on this particular day. 'Thirty-four, thirty-five, thirty-six, thirty-seven.' She mouthed the words as she counted her steps. Her eyes flickered toward the bottom shelf of books and she stopped counting her steps so that she could count the books. She'd already been over this section and had read most of the good books in it so she wasn't actually reading the titles unless she saw something that looked new.

She looked up when she heard someone murmur "Shit" in the quiet of the library. Only a couple yards in front of her sat a boy, her head cocked to the side slightly as she looked at him and her pencil fell from its spot tucked behind her ear with the movement. "Hello Darien," She said softly, she shared classes with him so his name had stuck."Would you like some help with those books?" She asked as her mind started counting the books had flopped over, her pencil forgotten on the floor.

As if someone had just threatened to kill him, Darien stood up fast. The sudden movement caused him to stagger backwards but that book was in the way. He would have fallen completely down if he hadn't grabbed onto the shelf. Darien probably looked like an idiot. Quickly he straightened himself out and ran a hand through his messy hair.

"Um...hi," He was a bit embarrassed he didn't remember her name. Darien never really remembered anyone's name. "No, no. It's fine." The truth was he did need some help. But from a girl? Darien wasn't sexist, but he didn't exactly want help from a female. After all, the task wasn't difficult at all. Picking up books? How simple! Not for Darien. He was physically challenged.

This was one of those awkward moments Darien almost always encountered with the opposite sex. He never knew what to say and always ended up staying quiet, only speaking when spoken to. Luckily this was a girl whom he had always known as being nice. To him, anyway. He hardly knew her, but she had a kind face. Darien knew he could trust her, but he didn't show it. It was hard to trust anyone at that school.

Darien looked down at the book he had tripped over. Sighing, he bent down and picked it up. He stared at it for a moment, trying to avoid looking at her. But he couldn't look at it forever. After another moment he looked up at her and smiled weakly. "World War II," he mumbled quietly, showing her the cover of the book. Darien didn't know what he was doing. It's not like she, or anyone for that mattered, cared what he had to say. Maybe she did and Darien was just placing the student body under one category. Whatever the case, he wanted to disappear from that spot.
