[[OOC: I made it for you, Bella and I. So she can join later]]
Seth Connelly, a scruffy looking boy of only eighteen, was in the mood to party. But then again, when wasn't he? Seth was your original bad ass. He drank. He smoked. He did drugs. He really didn't give a crap about what people thought of him either. People often gave him shit about his lifestyle and he just shrugged it off and told them to fuck off. It was the life he had chosen for himself and no one was going to change that. He liked how he was living now. He was only eighteen, why not live it up? He would have time for being an adult and acting mature later. As of now, he was simply a teenager. He could do what he wanted. Or at least that's what he thought. Sure, he had been in trouble before, but that didn't stop him. No one could stop him now. He was having the time of his life. All the straight-edges didn't know what they were missing out on, really.
It was about midnight and Seth had just left his dorm with his best friend Danny Cole. The two had made plans to go down to the beach with the bottle of Vodka that Danny stole from the party they went to last night and get drunk off their asses. Danny had to go to his dorm and get a couple of things before going to the beach and said he would meet Seth there. Seth had agreed and made his way out of the dorms and down the beach. It wasn't that far from the dorms, so he walked. Plus, he didn't have enough gas to make it to and from the beach then to school in the morning. As he walked, he shoved his hands deep into the pockets of his hoodie and pulled it closer around him. The nights had begun getting cooler considering it was already fall. It was a slightly windy night and as he walked he felt the crisp, cool air run through is shaggy hair. The cold had begun penetrating his face as his nose and cheeks turned rosy red.
Finally he made it to the beach and looked around for Danny. He was no where to be found. The lazy bastard had probably taken the Vodka and drank it himself. Seth would have something to say about this when he saw Danny next. The two were best friends, but that didn't stop them from messing with each other. They were constantly beating up on each other, especially when they were drunk. They both had different personalities when they were wasted. Seth was a horny drunk. He would try to get in any girls pants, even if they were ugly as can be. But, that wasn't much different from the normal Seth. It was a well known fact that Seth Connelly was a man-whore. He had slept with half the girls at Banting. Danny, on the other hand, was a angry drunk. He tended to get a temper when he drank. He often liked to pick fights with Seth. Seth would just let it roll of his shoulders and not let Danny's words get to him. Man did that kid have a mouth on him though. Danny knew how to tear a person down with his words. They were both assholes, but Danny was king.
Shaking his head at the fact that Danny wasn't there, he made his way down the sandy shores of the beach. The water from the ocean made the air seem colder and Seth pulled his hoodie even tighter around him. He was cold. Then the idea popped in to his head to start a fire. Yeah, that would keep him warm. Looking around for wood, he realized that there were really no trees on the beach, except for the few palms scattered here and there, but those were no use to him. Scanning the area, he saw some drift wood floating close the water. Smirking, he kicked off his shoes and bent down to roll up the cuffs of his far too baggy jeans. He walked to the edge of the water and reached for the piece of drift wood but realized that he couldn't get it without actually stepping foot in the water. Grimacing, he took a step forward, submerging his feet in the icy water. He grabbed the piece of drift wood quickly and began hunting for more.

All alone she sat. The beach was vacant, except for her and him. But he had only showed up a short time ago, and it was not like she had noticed. Her rad hair was blowing right in the wind. She sat with her arms wrapped around her knees that held the dark wash skinny jeans. Her outfit was not a surprise. Skinny jeans-dark wash- and a tight or too small shirt. Today her torso held a 'too small' shirt that proved how skinny she was, or as some who talked shit about her would say 'anerexic'. Like that would happen anytime soon. Raine was facing the ocean, watching the waves come and go. Even though she was listening to make sure that noone was coming, the sand mufffled foot-steps to the point where hearing them were impossible. She had given up listening for thoughs, knowing what the sand did. Instead she was listening for a voice or the sound of something dragging, or even a car. Still, it was hard.

Seth's feet had turned bright red from hoping in and out of the icey cold water. But he now had enough driftwood to start a nice fire. He would have to let it dry out, but soon enough he would have a fire. He smiled at the idea of warmth. He was shivering by now. Normally, the cold really didn't bother Seth. But today, he was freezing. He hated fall. It was a time when it wasn't exactly warm but it wasn't exactly cold. He would prefer that we just skipped this season. Just go from winter to summer and vise versa. But it didn't happen that way. He cursed the cold as he felt the goose bumps rise on his arms and legs. He really wished that he had stayed in his nice, warm dorm instead of coming out here to meet Danny, who still hadn't show up, and drink. If Danny didn't show up in the next half an hour, Seth was leaving and going back to his dorm to pass out. He shifted the drift wood to one arm and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. He flipped it open. 'No new messages'. The phone taunted him. Why hadn't Danny called?
Shaking this thought from his mind he made his way down the beach. The wind had picked up and was now rustling his shaggy, dyed black hair. His face was probably bright red by now and goose bumps had taken over his body. He spotted one last peice of drift wood and slowly moved his frozen body twords it. While walking, he saw headlights pass through the beach's parking lot. Looking to see if it was Danny's car, which it wasn't, he saw a flash of bright red hair. Blinking to make sure the cold wasn't making him see things, he grabbed the peice of drift wood and stepped out of the water. He wasn't seeing things. There was someone sitting on the beach. Curious, Seth walked in the direction that he saw the person. As he got closer he saw a shadowy figure that he could barely make out. One thing that he was sure about was that it was a girl.
A girl. Seth smirked. He was in the mood to have a little fun. Sadly, he didn't have any alchohol to lower her inhibitons, but he could probably figure out what kind of guy she liked and play the part. Finally he reached the girl. She was actually very pretty. She was skinny, just how Seth liked them, and had almost blinding red hair. The skinny jeans and small shirt that she was wearing almost made her look anorexic, but he doubted she was. She didn't look the type. He guessed she was one of the scene kids that went to Banting. Well, that is if she even went to Banting. She had to. She looked in her early teens. A few years younger than Seth, but that wouldn't stop him. He stopped in front of her and dropped the drift wood to the side. He smiled at her, not sure that she could see it in the dark. Squating down, he took up a spot next to her on the sandy shores.
'How are you not freezing?'
He asked her looking her up and down.

The girl's eyes followed the boy as he walked up the beach toward her. In his hand he held an object that looked like wood, or something of that sort. She looked at him after he spoke. Why wasn't she cold? This brought a grin to her face. Who said I wasn't? Raine's voice was soft, as if she was unsure what his question meant. He said it like a statement, so it was slightly confusing. Her hazel eyes were staring straight into his. She caugth the motion his eyes made as they swept up and down taking her in. This concerned her a bit, even though it was hard to tell. Raine still held that slight smirk. By then she had an idea of who it was. Seth C-something if she was right. It took her a bit as she tried to figure out his last name. Connelly, that was it. He was the schools man whore therefore had slept with practicly every girl in the school, except for Raine. He seemed like a senior, but the age differance didn't seem to change things, for him. He hung out with that Danny kid, if she could remember correctly. Still, she was tring to pull togeather information on him and that Danny kid. It seemed that she knew more of the Danny guy then Seth. Ofcorse, Danny was in her grade. If she was correct, he was slightly hot. But minds change, ocasionaly.

'Who said I wasn't'
Seth smirked and snorted a bit at her reply to his question. He shook his head at the girl and when he looked back, she was starting straight into his eyes. That's when he noticed their unusal color. Hazel. He smiled a genuine smile. He had always liked that color. Then he felt her eyes boring into him and had to look away. He looked down and ran a hand through his hair before looking back up at her. By this time, she had stopped looking at him and seemed to be lost in thought. He had seen that look before. She knew who he was. He cursed under his breath. Chances are that his plans wouldn't work out tonight. Well, that is unless Danny showed up with the liquor. He mentally crossed his fingers.
'Well, when one sits on the beach in almost nothing, you would think they would be a bit cold. Are you then?'
Seth said with a smirk. Maybe he could play the role of the sweet guy and something would come of it. Even thought he was freezing his ass off, he was prepared to take off his hoodie and give it to her. Looking over, he saw the goose bumps that were raised on her arms and smirked even more. She was cold. He waited to see if she would deny it or not. She probably would. He guessed she was the stubborn type. Plus, if she knew who he was she wouldn't open up to him very easily. He sighed and leaned back, laying on the sand and putting his behind his head. He looked up at the stars. It was a clear night and they were very visable. When he was younger he used to try to count the stars. It was an impossible task. Titling his head, he looked over at her and smiled.
'What brings you down here anyway?'
He said returning his head to it's original position, looking at the stars

Her mind had forgoten that he was there as she thought of Danny for a bit. Her face did indeed look as though she had found out who he was, and she had, but her mind had left that thought behind. His voice surprised her a bit, yet she remembered she was not alone and cursed herself for going off intto thought like that infront of people. O god yes. She replied, this time frowning. It was hard not to be and her dog had hidden her jacket somewhere. Raine, not seeing that he was looking straight at her face, looked his body over. She had already taken in his head, but not his features. Seth look warm, making Raine jealous of his sweatshirt. Again, deep in thought when she heard his voice. She really had to stop doing that. Nothing else to do really. You? Chances were that later this night he would eventualy met up with Danny, to get drunk or for a safe hid out or something, so why not have a conversation with him? Noone really would have known she liked him, and noone would. Raine tried her best to hid feelings like love and depression for others.

Seth had become mesmerized with the stars. When he was younger, his twin sister, Mia and him would lay on the balcony oft their suburban home and look at the stars. Mia had actually gotten interested enough to look up constellations and stuff. Seth suddenly felt a small twinge in his stomach as he thought about his sister. God, how he missed her. Back home, she was his partner in crime. They had gotten in so much trouble together. Last time he had seen her was Christmas last year. They talked on the phone often, but it wasn't the same. He sighed deeply and returned his mind to the stars. He could make out Orion's Belt and the Zodiac sign of the month.
'Oh, god yes.'
Seth was brought back to Earth by the sound of her voice. She had a very unique voice. Soft and light but loud and dominant at the same time. He smiled and sat up. Looking over at her he smirked. He unzipped his hoodie and shed it from his body. He held it out to her, waiting for her to take it. He hadn't thought that she would admit she was cold. He also wondered why she hadn't a jacket of her own. Almost immediately after taking off his hoodie, he felt the bitter cold on his skin. He was wearing a short sleeve, black HIM T-shirt. The goose bumps rose on his arm as the heat began dissipating from his body. He didn't care though. After a certain point, the cold started feeling good. That was the point when you went numb. At least it wasn't cold enough for him to get frost bite or punomia or something.
'Nothing else to do, really. You?'
He smiled. It was a weekend, how could there not be anything to do? There was always something to do on a Saturday night. Being as pretty as her, he was surprised she didn't have a date or wasn't going out with her friends. He ran a hand through his hair again and looked over at her before speaking.
'Waiting for a friend. If you don't mind me asking, but why don't you have anything to do? Shouldn't a pretty girl like you should have a date or plans with friends or something?'
He asked quizzically as he lay ed back down in the sand, placing his hands behind his head again.

She looked at him then his jacket. She sighed, wanting it. But she saw how cold he looked, and knew that she couldn't take it. Raine shook her head, not wanting to take his own jacket. Then a shiver ran down her spine and her pale hand reached out and grabbed the hoddie. She slipped it on then crossed her arms. It was atleast four sizes to big. She frowned at how it fit, but it was warm, and did the job. The red head found her self lying on the sand next to him, looking up at the stairs just like Seth. A smile came at his words. Who? She sounded slightly surprised at the news of a friend, even if she knew. Yet what he said then surprised her. Noone ever thought she was pretty. Even if it was from him, it made Raine feel good to be called pretty. aww, thanks. And trust me, I wish. It was not that she didn't want to be on the beach and talking to him then maybe seeing Danny. It was just that she knew how this night would end even if she tried to fight it, in bed with Seth. She had realized this a while ago. Seth really didn't like her, but it he was a good liar. Yet she knew what he was doing. But again, either way Raine was gonna be in bed with Seth.

He watched her shake her head at his offer of the hoodie and opened his mouth to insist that she take it, but then he felt the hoodie lift out of his hand. He smirked. He knew she would take it eventually. Watching as she slipped it on, he couldn't help but notice that it was far too big for her. Though, when he really looked at her, it looked pretty hot on her. It was always sexy when girls wore guys clothes. Well, at least in Seth's opinion. He looked over at her and shook his head. He hated being unsure of how this night was going to end. It could go either way at this point, as far as he knew. He was hoping it would go his way, but that was completely up to her.
Seth smirked as she layed down in the sand next to him. The moon was bright tonight, not covered by clouds and it caught her face in just the right angle to make her look horribly pale. But though it was a bit creepy to see her like this, she looked pretty at the same time. Her eyes stood out against the color of her skin and almost seemed to pop. He opened his mouth to say something, but then she cut him off.
'Who?'
She inquired as to who he was waiting for. It took him a moment think about what she was asking and then he realized what it was. Seth began to wonder if she even knew who Danny was. She might. He was in her grade. The only reason that Danny and Seth were friends was because a chance meeting one night outside a party they were both at. Seth had kinda come to Danny's rescue. Since that night the two had been best friends. He wouldn't trade their friendship for the world.
'Danny Cole. Do you know him?'
Seth asked, turning his head to face her. She was looking up still and he smiled. The more that he talked to her, the prettier she became. He liked her personality. She seemed strong and confident but at the same time she was dainty and soft. He liked that. Man, oh, man did he want this night to work out now. He was biting at the bit to get her up to his dorm now.
'Aww, thanks. But really, I wish'
He was kinda taken aback by this response to his question. This girl HAD TO have some guy who was chasing her. She was far to beautiful not to. In a way, Seth was kinda chasing her now. But not in the way that most would think. Seth simply wanted a one night stand. He wasn't a big fan of relationships. Never had been. Sitting up, he looked at her with surprise.
'Surely you have to have some guy somewhere?'
He asked her as he positioned himself in a sitting up posture.

Danny, just what she had thought and hoped for. Did she know him? Yeah, but she doubted he knew her. I have seen him around, i guess. She lied, obviously a fabulous liar, just like he was. Then the second question came. The one that made her want to take her wrist and a knife. It just gave Raine that kind of feeling whenever she thought of it along with other thoughts like this one. This feeling hurt her. Her eyes looked at her left arm. It was covered in the jacket but she knew what was behind the coat, the marks. The proof that she felt pain and that it hit hard. thanks. It was just a whisper. Love was hard for her. It was hard to give her heart to someone, or what was left of it. Raine had loved others and given them her heart, but they had broken it without looking back. Her arm reached up to him, she grabed his shirt and pulled him back to lieing next to her. Raine needed comfort right now, and if screwing with him worked, then screwing him she would do.

'I've seen him around, I guess'
Seth nodded and that ended that conversation. He didn't really want to be talking about another guy, much less his best friend, with a girl he was hoping to get in bed. That was just weird. He sighed deeply and looked up at the stars. They were getting boring by now. There was only a certain point where you could look at them and they wouldn't start becoming little dots. That's what they were to Seth now. Little dots in the sky. Looking over at her, he looked her up and down once again. Damn, he wanted that...NOW. He was starting to get antsy, but he would take his time. If he pressured her, then it would never work.
'Thanks'
He barely heard her say this. She had whispered it. He raised his eyebrow quizzically and looked over at her. Almost immediately he saw the pain in her eyes. She seemed to be glancing down at her wrist. He knew almost instantly why. She was or had been a cutter. He had plenty of experience with that. His sister had become a cutter after their father died. He knew how hard it was to begin and how hard it was to stop. His sister had struggled for years until she finally had to be hospitalized. Luckily it was only for a few days and after she got out she quit. But the memory of his sisters bloody wrists still haunted him. Looking down for a moment he let the memory wash over him and then go away.
He was looking out on the ocean when suddenly he was jerked down the ground. She had grabbed his shirt and pulled him down. He chuckled lightly and rolled over on his side, propping himself up on his elbow so that he was facing her. When he had laid down he had laid closer to her. Now he was only inches from where she lay. Looking over at her, he noticed she had some sand on her cheek. He smiled and reached over, lightly brushing her cheek with his thumb. He let his hand linger for a moment, before bringing back down and laying it at his side.
'Sorry, you had some sand on your cheek'

Her eyes were still looking at her wrist. It was hard to pull away from it. How bad she wanted to cut right now was hurting her even more. She cursed Laken for taking away rubber bands and sharp objects from her house. It was time,s like these she wished that Laken had been that bitch who ran her Raine over then laughed about it instead of helping her up and then becomeing somewhat of a big sister to her. Yet then again at that thought, she wanted to run in front of a bullet for her. A tear ran down her cheek right before she felt a thumb touch it. She nodded and opened her mouth to say something, but couldn't. Her teeth slid over her lip and her hand cletched her arm, digging her nails into it. Raine was obviously trying to inflict pain since she couldn't cut herself right now. Finally she could say something, but still it was barly louder than a whisper. Im Raine. It was slightly random, but needed to be said.

Seth didn't even see the tear fall down her cheek until it met with his thumb. He looked at her with tender eyes. He knew why she was crying. He was used to seeing girls cry, being the man-whore that he was. The girls often cried after he told them to leave. Either that or they got really pissy. Like the girl that he had hooked up with the night before. When he told her to leave this morning, she had gotten all huffy and stormed out of his dorm room. Luckily Danny was there to make it better by harassing the girl. Seth's attention snapped back to the girl. She was now grasping at her wrist trying to dig her nails into it. He wouldn't stand for this. It reminded her too much of his sister. Reaching over, he grabbed her hand and pulled it away from her wrist. He looked over at her and sighed. She was still looking at her wrist. He could only imagine what she was going through.
'You don't need to do that. There are better ways of dealing with pain.'
Seth smiled at her and brought the hand that he was still holding up to his lips and kissed it lightly. Now he was rethinking his idea about taking her back up to his dorm. This girl obviously didn't need to be lead on. It wouldn't be good for her. He sighed and stood up.
'I'm Raine'
He heard her whisper this right as he stood. Looking at the ground for a moment, her ran a hand through his hair for the third time tonight. He did this when he was frustrated, embarrassed or didn't know what to say. It was a quirk of his. He had decided that he needed to go. It had been over half an hour and Danny had not show up. It was time for him to leave before he caused Raine any more pain.
'It's nice to meet you, Raine, but I really need to go. I don't think Danny is going to show up. Have a nice night, okay?'
He took one last look at her and sighed. He turned and began to walk away. Part of him wanted to stay, but the sensible part of him knew that he had to leave.

Her hazel eyes looked up at him. She frowned and nodded, but did not let go of his hand. She tried to pull it back toward her, but felt him let go. Her frowned deepened. Raine had forgotten about how earlier that night Seth was just a pervert that wanted her, she now just needed comfort. no... She whispered, knowing it wouldn't have effect on him, because he wouldn't have heard her. Her hand lifted his jacket's sleeve, she shivered in the coldness. Her fingers ran along her cold red scars then her nails came in and clawed the skin that just bore palness. Raine stopped once the pain hit, ran her fingers a long it again, then pulled the sleve down. Seth was long gone by now. Again, Raine was alone. Laken knew better then to walk out on Raine in this manner, and right now she wished that she could go to Laken's house, but yeah right. No car and she was underaged. Raine had no way to get home. She frowned, she was stuck.

It was amazing. Seth had a conscience. Who would have ever thought the lazy boy with no morals or values would have a conscience? And right now, this conscience was going crazy. He had just left a girl who was obviously in a state that was detrimental to her well being alone on the beach. He knew he shouldn't have done that. He knew that it was wrong. But still he didn't turn back. The only reason that he didn't turn back is that he didn't want to turn into a soft-y. Sure, on the inside, Seth was a nice guy with a good heart, but he would never let anyone know that. Never. He had a reputation to keep up and he wasn't going to let some girl ruin that. Or was he?
Seth stopped dead in his tracks. Why ws he doing this? He needed to go back to her. He needed to help her. She was just like his sister. All she needed was a little help. He sighed and turned around. Begining to walk back to the spot where Raine was still sitting, thoughts of his sisters melt down filled his head. That had been the worst time of his life. Every night his sister would slice away her pain and every night he would have to lay awake and listen to her cry. How he hated hearing her cry. Everyone says that twins have a connection that no one else can understand. It's true. When Mia was sad, Seth was sad. Same with happiness. It was something that couldn't be discribed to anyone. You only knew what it felt like if you were a twin.
Finally, he reached Raine again. He stood in front of her for a moment, placing a hand behind his head and inhaled deeply. As much as he didn't want to do this, he knew he had to. And his plans for the night had gone out the window at this point. One, because he wasn't going to do that to a girl in this state and two, because she obviously wasn't going to come back up to his dorm. He kneeled down beside her and looked at her for a moment before speaking.
'Seth. I'm Seth.'
He said quietly before moving from his kneeling postion into a sitting one.
